For ten years, I worked as a graphic designer, building a career around the craft I loved most. Along the way, I also ran my own wedding photography business, so I know what it takes to own something from the ground up.
Then I had my daughter, and something in me reordered itself. I wanted to be present for her in a way that a traditional job couldn't quite allow.
Around that same time, an opportunity opened up to do something different, and I took it. I had spent a decade learning design. I had already run a business and understood its weight. And now I had a deeper reason to do it again, one that mattered more than any title ever had. So I built Mari & Gold Co., a studio rooted in the kind of websites I always loved making most: thoughtful, custom, built in Showit, made for people who are building something real.
The name carries the story. My daughter's middle name is Marigold, while it's also a tribute to Our Blessed Mother. My role as a wife, mother, daughter, and friend is why I began this business.
